Q: What kind of warranty do you offer?
A: One year parts and labor. Some items are covered by a longer manufactor's warranty. Please see our Warranty and General Support page for more details.
Q: Do you deliver and set up your computers?
A: This service is supplied for an additional fee paid at time of purchace. Basic set up includes making all connections and a quick run through the system to make sure all is operating as it should. Advance set up is as above but also includes setting up home network connections and or internet. This could also include some software set up.
Q: I am getting into digital photography, and I need a computer that can offer automatic back up of some kind. What can Vstar do for me?
A: The most important thing a computer can do as a digital dark room is to provide a safe way of storing pictures until they can be saved to a DVD. At Vstar we can supply a strong and easy to use Raid system. What this means is that the system can be setup so that whatever is saved to one hard drive is also saved to a second hard drive. If one fails your
pictures are still safe. This is part of a good back up system and providea a higher level of data loss security.
Q: I just need a simple system as all I do is some book keeping, word processing and e-mail. Do I get the same attention as the video editor?
A: Absolutely. What we do best is sit down with you and find out what you really need and can afford. You don't have to break the bank to have a system that is custom made just for you. We have complete systems starting as low as $799.99 with monitor and cd burner. Bare Bones Systems from $499.99, monitor & software not included.
Q: Do you service other brands of computers? What about printers and scanners?
A: We will do our best to fix any make of PC. We also can refer you to a very competent Mac service provider. At this time we don't as a rule service printers or scanners. But we will take a look at your set up to determine if the problem is really the printer/scanner or a computer hardware or software problem.
